The Stockholm Furniture & Northern Light Fair, is an incomparable showcase in Northern Europe, in which arturo alvarez exhibits for the first time.

arturo alvarez along with the Danish designer  Christina Liljenberg, distinguished by her fresh and warm style, presents NORR, a design that unites two natural materials, wood and wool, to give live to a floor lamp and  a pendant that allows different colour combinations.

Also we present as novelty an interesting composition with the CORAL Collection.

A warm and embracing light, in the middle of the exhibition space lit the artwork with gentleness. arturo alvarez made a scenographic installation with pendants, starting from the Seaurchin model from the Coral collection. The ocean vibrating from the central space filled everything with light and live.

Given the success they experienced in Barcelona Gunni & Trentino and arturo alvarez are getting together again, this time in Madrid, to show people the infinite possibilities that the firm’s lamps provide in customized lighting.

Architects, interior designers and decorators that want to offer innovative lighting solutions will go away with new ideas and be inspired to conceive many others.

The expert staff both at Gunni & Trentino in Madrid, as well in Barcelona, will be able to advise you about what options exist, depending upon the work and project requirements, with regard to how to light certain spaces or achieve different lighting effects.

Barcelona Design Week opens its doors, one of the most important events of the contemporary design in Spain. Gunni & Trentino and arturo alvarez come together to carry out a lighting installation in Barcelona.

1.300 square meters dedicated to a showroom with the most leading decorative design brands, at the centre of Barcelona, is without any doubt, a unique setting to appreciate a large dimensions pendant created with the combination of various CORAL collection lamps.

arturo alvarez highlights the endless possible combinations and customizations to be made with its lamps.

The CORAL collection is made with silicone, the brand´s star material, developed by Arturo Alvarez on 2007, soft touch, pleated texture, translucent and with a nice lighting. Organic designs combined with this material give an original and personal result.

Our most free-and-easy, fresh and festive lamp, BETY, was perfectly integrated in a natural way, with the decoration of the VIP area.  A warm light for the Chill Out Area, with this modern model that matched perfectly with the spirit of the festival.

I do not want to say goodbye to this post without thanking our good friends Geni and Ignacio with whom we shared and enjoyed at the festival, for their kind collaboration with us to install the lamps!

We have already reached the third edition of this post, which has already become a classic and owns its own fans. The videos of “San Juan’s night” are one of the most visited.  We hope not to deceive you this year and that you enjoy as much as the two last years.

One more year, we are in O Areal, to party San Juan’s night, in a stretch of the Ulla River in Galicia, on the northwest of Spain, a place which is resisting climate change and keeps on protecting typical species of the European Atlantic Wood tooth and nail. A very green, very wet, dark and misty place in the winter, but refreshing, full of life and light in the summer.

Gañete, the mentor and guard of the place, with a handful of habitual collaborators, do not lower their guard and they aim at surprising those gathered there year after year. They keep the ties with those coming back every year and, unintentionally, they work as a community attending loyal their annual appointment with purification and renaissance.

This year we wanted to focus on water and fire. The fire, typical of San Juan’s night, burns all the bad things so that we are born new. And the water, always present in Galicia, purifying, removes and washes the surplus leaving us clean and renewed.

The torch that lighted the cacharela (bonfire) came by boat, by the water, slowly, in silence, until reaching its destiny on earth and the jumpers ended up in the river’s water completing this way the purifying circle…

From now on, there is no need for words and the images speak by themselves…

The new wall sconces are very different, ready to solve different aesthetic needs and a good volume of light, such as Gea, Kala, Cors or Tati, all designed by Arturo Álvarez.

We are sure that we will keep on having the great success of public and reviews that we already had in Milano.

The results of the Milano Fair exceeded by far all our predictions. We ran out of cards, food and other materials, due to the avalanche of public and press that we had during the very intense six fair days.

The new product that we launched has been more than welcome. But the interpretation that we make is that, in spite of the financial crisis and the serious and different problems of the world, people must move forward, continue working, because life goes on.

Our gratitude to all the staff of the factory, in Milano and to the agents for being there, supporting us, believing in our project and working at our side.
